The biggest difference between iron mold sand molding line and wet sand molding line is that the mold is iron, and the top layer of sand is heated and cured to form. This kind of molding line used to have low efficiency and require a lot of labor. ABM Iron mould over sand moulding line is an automatic moulding line that consists of a moulding main machine, box turning machine, transfer car, motorized roller conveyor, box separator, box closing machine, casting section, core lowering section, and cooling section. Once the moulding process is finished, the iron mould is cleaned and repaired using the box-turning machine. It is then placed into the lower core section and closed by the box-closing machine before being pushed to the casting section. After cooling on the roller conveyor, the mould is cleaned by the box divider and the upper and lower boxes. Finally, it enters the main machine for moulding and completes the cycle. The new iron mould sand moulding line has improved the transmission, pushing and slowing, roller, and electric systems from the original line. This has resulted in a more stable system with a lower failure rate and higher efficiency compared to the original iron mould sand moulding line.
It is suitable for the production of small and medium-sized castings of many varieties and small batches, and has the advantage of relatively low investment. Compared with resin sand moulding, it uses less resin and sand, and the running cost is relatively low.
