Detail description Technical Parameter Scope of application

In the 1980s, the air-impact molding line boasted a simple mechanical structure and a fast molding speed. A single main engine could achieve 180 integer moulds per hour, a remarkable output. Consequently, the air impact molding line was a highly sought-after technology globally, with Swiss GF and German BMD emerging as dominant players in the market. The German AE design office, which preceded ABM, created auxiliary machinery for German BMD. However, with the resurgence of air impact molding, the inherent limitations of the vertical mold have become more apparent. A number of enhancements to air impact modelling have been introduced. Static pressure modelling reduces air pressure, thereby restoring the multi-contacts characteristic of high-pressure moulding. In comparison to the high noise levels associated with air impact modelling, static pressure modelling is much quieter, which is why it is also known as 'quiet pressure modelling'. Static pressure modelling has largely resolved the limitations of air impact modelling, and has consequently become the dominant modelling technology for over 30 years. It is becoming increasingly evident that the limitations of static pressure modelling technology are becoming more apparent over time. Firstly, as the working principle of the static pressure modelling line is similar to that of air impact modelling, the shortcomings of the latter are only reduced, not eliminated. For instance, the phenomenon of air rebound persists, and given that the moulding sand is saturated with high-pressure gas, the pressure can effectively counteract the compaction of the indenter in real time, resulting in a significant rebound of the mould. When the sand box is of a considerable height, the airflow is required to pass through the molding sand from the rear. This results in a considerable resistance from the molding sand, which in turn affects the static pressure effect of the molding sand driven by the airflow. Furthermore, the use of static pressure requires a significant amount of compressed air, often in the range of hundreds of cubic metres per hour. This can significantly increase the cost of casting.

Flask Size:(400mm-3500mm)X(400mm-2500mm)

Productivity: 10-300moulds/h

It is suitable for gray iron, ductile iron and steel castings, especially for castings with complex appearance and difficult sanding. Such as automobile parts, engineering machinery parts and so on.
